Event Details

The Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur DiRaja is organising the RCKL DIRAJA 888 CHARITY VIRTUAL RUN to raise funds for its community service projects. Since the start of the pandemic, the club has been continuously supporting the frontliners, B40 communities, deserving students and the homeless with essential items like facemask, rubber gloves, hand sanitizers, energy drinks, food hampers, cooked food, cash aid, laptops, tuition fees, and we raised over RM 500,000 (cash and in-kind). It would take some time for communities to adjust to the new norms and the post pandemic challenges are expected to be equally challenging, for marginalised communities, that slip through safety nets provided by the government and social welfare agencies. 


We seek your support to continue with our community service projects and help us with this fund raising drive, that will also benefit you directly: -


RCKL DIRAJA 888 Virtual Run Benefits:

  • Your entrance fees will be used to carry out various community service projects.

  • Health benefits for participants; Runners/Walkers get fitter, get healthier and improve mental and physical health. We hope to develop and continue the habit of keeping fit past the event.

  • All runners who complete the various stages will qualify for lucky draws from our sponsors.

  • Free online session on yoga, running clinics and healthy eating. 


Our target is to raise RM 500,000 from this event, and we have raised close to RM 100,000 and increasing daily. 


We need your kind assistance and help to make this project a reality. We humbly appeal for your support to assist community service projects. 


For corporations/individuals who contribute more than RM 2,500, tax-exempt receipt will be provided by The Kuala Lumpur Rotary Charity Foundation.

R1: Participants are only allowed to submit distance tracked activities. Step Count activity will NOT be accepted.


R2: Participants to ensure that all activities are;

  1. From an active running/walking activity. Tracking your steps/walk over the whole day is not an active activity. (Shopping and tracking are not allowed too).

  2. Synced/submitted within 72 hours after the end of each activity and before the end of each individual challenge and before the event ends (23:59 GMT +8). Late submissions will not be accepted.

  3. Submitted with the necessary information; Start date and time, duration, distance and route* (*for outdoor activity only).

Q1 : When is the last day to submit the result? Do I need to submit the result daily?
A1 : Daily active running/walking activity results must be submitted within 72 hours after the end of the activity and before the event ends 23:59 (GMT+8). 


Q2 : Is it limited to outdoor runs only?
A2 : No, indoor treadmill results are also acceptable. You may submit a photo of your treadmill dashboard by manual submission. Please ensure that your submission includes the date of the activity.


Q3 : Who is eligible to participate in this event?
A3 : This event is open to anyone in the world, however, delivery of ENTITLEMENTS is limited to Malaysian addresses only. Runners who do not have a Malaysian delivery address, can still purchase ENTITLEMENTS. Please get in touch with the Entitlement Organiser. 


Q4 : When will I receive the entitlements? 
A4 : The entitlements will be sent out by the Entitlement Organiser, please contact them for more info. 


Q5 : If I decided not to run, can I get a refund?
A5 : No refund is allowed as stated in the T&C.


Q6 : Will my mileage be collected before the participation date count?
A6 : No, your mileage will be collected from the date and time the event starts and after you have successfully registered.


Q7 : What do I do if I entered the wrong information during registration?
