Join us for the MPMA “Don’t be a litter bug” Virtual Run Event, in collaboration with SprintSquad and Lions Club of Penang Prince , as we run towards a greener, more sustainable future! We’re focusing on Recycling & Waste Reduction—raising awareness about the enormous environmental impact of waste generated during marathons and daily life, and how each of us can make a positive change through recycling.

You’ll be encouraged to share these recycling insights with your friends and family, spreading the message that what we discard can be transformed into something new and valuable. Whether it's shoes, shirts, or packaging materials, recycling plays a critical role in minimizing waste and conserving resources.
Key Highlights:
- Marathon Waste Facts: Did you know that over 1 million PET bottles and 250,000 paper cups are used during major marathons? These materials don’t have to end up in landfills. Instead, they can be recycled into shoes, clothing, and other household products.
- Sustainability Education: This event helps you understand how we can all make small changes in our daily lives, from reducing waste to reusing materials, to achieve a greener world.
- Be Part of the Change: By participating, you’re not just running for fitness—you’re running for a cause that supports environmental sustainability. Share your knowledge with others and inspire them to join the movement.

Participation
Goal of the event: Complete at least 3KM individually but do not stop there! Run or walk as much as you can throughout challenge period!

Rules
R1: Participants are allowed to;
- Sync/submit distance-based tracked activities only. Step Count activity/results will NOT be accepted. Find out more on how to sync/submit by clicking the General & Technical FAQ below.
- Complete the distance within one activity or an accumulation of activities.
R2: Participants to ensure that all activities are;
- From an active running/walking/hiking activity only. Tracking your steps/walk over the whole day is not an active activity. (Shopping and tracking are not allowed too).
- Synced/submitted within 72 hours after the end of the activity and before the event ends Thursday, 31 July 2025 (23:59 GMT +8). Late submissions will not be accepted.
⭐️ R3: Manual Submissions* must be made in accordance to the following:
- Consists of only outdoor activities with route or treadmill submissions with treadmill dashboard.
- Indoor running without route not accepted for manual submission.
- Submitted with the necessary information: Start date and time, duration, distance and route (running map).
- Treadmill submissions must include: Picture of treadmill dashboard of completed activity, distance, duration and date
*Manual Submissions not required if you have linked a third party app to BiiB and your activities are syncing properly
*BiiB reserves the right to reject any submissions deemed suspicious without providing any prior notice or reasoning.

Q1 : When is the last time to submit my results?
A1 : Result submission is required to be done before event ends Thursday, 31 July 2025.
Q2 : Will my mileage be collected before the event date count?
A2 : No, your mileage will be collected from the date and time the event starts and after you have successfully registered.
Q3 : What do I do if I entered the wrong information during registration?
A3 : Please email us at [email protected] with the changes you want to make. We will get back to you as soon as possible within 3 working days, our business hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm GMT+8 (excluding Public Holidays).
