About The Event
UnIque Virtual Charity Run 2020 is the first virtual run held by USM Health Campus, Kubang Kerian. There are a few purposes of organizing this Virtual Charity Run:
- To introduce the concept of a virtual run to USMKK students.
- To promote a healthy lifestyle
- To raise the awareness towards the underprivileged group (YOKUK) in the society
- To promote Chinese Cultural Night 2020
What is Chinese Cultural Night?
Chinese Cultural Night is an annual event organized by the Chinese students of Universiti Sains Malaysia Health Campus. This event is held to introduce the unique and humble Chinese culture to the students and lecturers in this university who are from different races and ethnicity. Besides, this event helps to strengthen unity and to cultivate mutual understanding between students from different roots and backgrounds.
Theme Concept
UnIque Virtual Charity Run 2020 is named with the concept of You (U) and I. It symbolizes you and I participate in this run and run together. It symbolizes the influence of togetherness with the involvement of the community. Contribute to the society is not the responsibility of yours OR mine, it is the duty of “You” & “I”. The more the merrier and the merrier the greater. Hand in hand with your friends to take part in this run. It’s fun and don’t miss the chance!
Beneficial group
YOKUK. Yayasan Orang Kurang Upaya Kelantan (YOKUK). YOKUK provides rehabilitation services in terms of Therapy, Palliative Care, Welfare and Educational services throughout the State of Kelantan. The services are provided free of charge, relying very much on public support, from individuals and corporate sponsors as it does not receive any regular grants.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What is the reason my BiiB+ app is not tracking my run properly?
A1. It happens to some Android devices' battery optimization process and could be fixed by following these simple steps;
Click "Option" (the 3 dots at the bottom right corner of BiiB+ app) > "Check Device" > Select your phone brand > Follow the displayed instructions.
Other than that, GPS signal might also get affected by the environment when there are tall buildings/mountains or roofed area blocking the signal. You can also use our Strava integration feature to link up with your Garmin, Suunto and other run tracking applications.
Q2. How to submit my result if I am using third party app?
A2. You can link up BiiB with Strava from getbiib.com/me or a manual submission of screenshot after log into our runner dashboard is required.
Q3. How to submit my result if I am using BiiB+ app?
A3. If you're signing in using the registered email address, all your activities tracked between the event period will be automatically synced with the team/individual progress of the challenge. Make sure you have an active internet connection to sync the activity.
Q4 : How much is this virtual charity run donate to the YOKUK?
A4 : We will donate 30% of our profit to YOKUK.
Q5 : How to be an individual finisher?
A5 : Individual with successfully accumulate minimum of 30 KM within the challenge period.
Q6 : How to be a team finisher?
A6 : The team is considered as a Team Finisher when ALL the 5 members are finishers.
Q7 : What does it means by top achiever?
A7 : Top achiever is the participant who had run the longest distance during the period among the same category. An individual runner will compete with those individual runners, while team runners will compete among the team runners.
Q8 : When is the last day to submit the result? Do I need to submit the result daily?
A8: Last day for result submission is on 9th March 2020 23:59:59 (GMT+8). It is recommended to submit your result as soon as you complete your run.
Q9 : Is it limited to outdoor run only?
A9 : No. You can run either outdoor (must be GPS tracked) or indoor using a treadmill. A step counter result is not acceptable.
*Note: BiiB+ app can only track outdoor run due to GPS limitations.
Q10 : Is walking counted?
A10 : Of course! The aim of this event is to motivate participants to stay active. It does not matter whether you're fast or slow.
Q11 : How does the system track the team mileage and how often is the system updated?
A11 : System is built to add up all the mileage logged by the team member right after the success sync (LIVE). The mileage display will update as soon as someone in the team has finished a run/walk with successful sync or submission. You can view it either in BiiB+ App, under event (second tab from the left) or via personal running dashboard at getBiiB.com/me.
Q12 : Who is eligible to participate in this event?
A12 : This event is open to everyone in Malaysia.
Q13 : How can I receive the reward?
A13 : For individual and teams that able to achieve the minimum requirements, we will email to inform them and ask them whether they can attend CCN to redeem their gratifications or send them to their place.
Q14 : When will I receive the reward?
A14 : The finisher items will be shipped out to all our Finishers within 14 working days from the end date of the challenge.
Q15 : If I decide to not run, can I get a refund?
A15 : Participation Fee is NOT refundable.
Q16 : Can I change my team after registration?
A16 : No. Changing of teams is not allowed.
Q17 : Why don't I receive any information from BiiB?
A17 : Please check your email or spam mail folder for our email after a successful registration. Announcement and update will be informed through email.
Q18 : Can I use other third-party run tracking apps for this challenge?
A18 : Yes. You can but not recommended. Make sure you submit the screenshots to us via getBiiB.com/me for timely updates. We strongly recommend BiiB+ app to make this challenge fun and hassle-free!
