Currently we are already in 8th edition King of Kemensah Trail. We have a lot of good news to share:
 
  1. All 2022 registered participants will get a 20-25% discount this year. Yeap loyalty rate from us. Enjoy the rate.
  2. We will have 100KM this year with 3500m elevation gain.
  3. We will remain in the old categories, 50KM, 30KM, 18KM, 10KM and 5KM.
  4. Longer cut of time so we will have more time to see the beauty of Kemensah Jungle.
  5. We will start in interval timing based on your categories.
  6. We will have 2 days trail event this round.
  7. We are going to recognize the top 10 finishers with trophy and products. There is RM15,000 prize worth to be grab.
  8. There are UTMB and ITRA points for 100KM, 50KM and 30KM categories.
  9. Limited to 1000 slots only.

Race Site Venue
Kem Ghafar Baba in Kemensah will have:

  • 100 dorms to be rented, and 50 campsites you can come and enjoy the near waterfall / ATV / Bukit Batu Chondong hike on Friday-Saturday. 
  • We will shuttle you from parking B Zoo Negara to the race site and the shuttle is free. 
  • There are Surau, toilet, shower at this race site. 
  • There is also a café where you can get your food (at your own cost).

  1. pay for the postage fee, RM20 (only for registration before 1st May 2023). No bundle postage. All race kit will be post 3 weeks prior to event date. The organizer will not be responsible for any undelivered race kit to participants. If the parcel returned to organizer due to participant’s failure to be in touch with courier team for delivery, the race kits need to be collected according to normal race pack collection date and time. In this scenario, the organizer reserves the right to reject any request to repost the race entry parcel.

Q1 : Who is eligible to participate in this event?
A1 : This race is open to all Malaysian/Permanent Resident and oversea runners’ age 18 years old and above only. For Fun Run and junior category, parents/guardian concern is required. Participants must complete the race on foot under their own strength. Participants are required to be semi self-sufficient. You must always have your mandatory equipment with you during the race. The Organizer reserves the right to deny entry to any participants.

 

Q2 : Will my mileage be collected before the event date count?
A2 : No, your mileage will be collected from the date and time the event starts and after you have successfully registered.

 

Q3 : Am I allowed to have Bib transfers, cancellations and categories changes?

A3 : No refund of participation fee once you’ve registered the race, regardless of any category, in any circumstances. Changes of Bib name is allowed 30 days before the race date and during the REPC with the processing fee of RM50. All participants are strongly advised not to proceed with the race without the updated runner information on the Race Bib for your safety reasons. ​

 

Q4 : Are pacers/external support allowed during the event? 

A4 : Pacers and support crew are strictly prohibited. No external support by friends or family is allowed beyond the limits of the official checkpoints.

 

Q5 : Is medical support provided during the event?

A5 : There will be medical personnel on standby at the race site. Ambulance service is on standby as well for emergency cases. Participants are responsible to ensure they are fit and healthy before starting the race. Please consult your doctor if there is any doubt.

 

Q6 : Am I covered by insurance during the event?

A6 : Participants are to accept the risk associated with the event as per indemnity clause as per registration form. The organizer will not responsible for any claim resulted from this event. It is recommended that you have personal accident insurance or health insurance.

 

Q7 : What if the event is cancelled?

A7 : The organizers shall reserve the right to cancel or cut short the event for the following reasons: (but not limited to): (a) adverse weather conditions (haze, thunderstorm etc.); (b) dangerous trail conditions (Landslides, Flood, Tree fallen/fires blockage along the course etc.); (c) Riot, endemic, government policy change etc.

*Note: In such event no refund of the registration fee.

 

Q8 : What are the mandatory items I need to bring (for 18KM, 30KM 50KM and 100KM Only)? 

A8 : You must bring Hydration bag/handheld bottle. (min capacity of 1L), 1 Whistle, 1 Emergency Blanket, 1 Headlamp, Hand phone (for emergency), Food/Energy Bar/Gel and Collapsible Cup. The mandatory items are required to present DURING THE RACE (random checks by official at any point) and AFTER THE RACE for result verification. Failed to comply with the mandatory item will cause disqualification from the race or penalty 30 minutes for each item.

 

Q9 : What are the recommended Items I need to bring (for 5KM and 10KM)?
A9 : You are recommended to bring Hydration bag/handheld bottle/cup, Food/energy bar/gel and Hand phone (for emergency).

 

Q10 : How many water stations and toilets are provided during the event?

A10 : Water stations are provided based on the different categories. Please refer to the following information: 

5KM: No water stations.
10KM: 1 water station.
18KM: 2 water stations.
30KM: 4 water stations.
50KM: 4 water stations.
100KM: 9 water stations

Toilet is available at the starting point only.

*The water station count is estimation only. It can be change on the real day. 
*The event organiser will implement bring your own bottle/cup concept (BYOB/BYOC) for this race. So please bring your own portable cup or bottle. They will not provide any disposable cup at the starting/finishing line and all water stations.

 

Q11 : What are the safety precautions of the event? 

A11 :  Please refer to the following safety precautions listed: 

  • Race bib must always be worn & visible (on the front) throughout the event. 
  • Participants must always stay on the marked course all the time. Short cuts/running off the trails are strictly prohibited.
  • Participants must always carry all the mandatory items during the event. 
  • If should you have noticed marshal vehicles (motorbike / jeep) approaching during the race, please slow down and give way.
  • Please be cautious as some parts of trail route might be muddy and slippery in condition. 
  • There will be a few river crossings, so it is advised to always stay alert on the official race marker. ​
  • Ensure your own safety and that of others.  Be considerate of other trail and road users always. - Take great care when crossing or running on roads.  If another runner is injured or in distress, please assist. 

 

Q12 : What do I do if I decide to drop out from the race? 

A12 : If you decide to withdraw from the event, you must inform the event officials immediately and remove your race bib. Once you have dropped out of the race, you are not allowed to re-start.

(a) Dropping out at check point

  • ​Tell the checkpoint marshals that you've decided to drop out from the race.
  • The checkpoint marshals will be able to further guide you on returning to the finishing point or with the race shuttle. 
  • Do note that not all checkpoints are accessible with race shuttle and even so with a limited time frame. 

(b) Dropping out along the race course

  • ​Please proceed to your nearest checkpoint and inform the marshals that you've decided to drop out from the race. The checkpoint marshals will be able to further guide you on returning to the finishing point or with the race shuttle. 
  • Do note that not all checkpoints are accessible with race shuttle and even so with a limited time frame.
  • If you're severely unable to move yourself to the nearest checkpoint, please contact the event emergency number.

 

Q13 : How does the race timing work?
A13 : There will be a timing system and manual system for this race. 

 

Q14 : When will I receive my race kit?
A14 : All race kits are made available by shipment (only for registration before 1st May 2023 and will be post 3 weeks prior to event date) or self pick-up tentatively at Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya on  01 July 2023 11am - 6pm. Please bring your confirmation slip for verification (softcopy will do). Do inform the event organiser (email/PM page) if you need special arrangement for your kit collection. Mandatory item will be check before starting the race.

Q16 : When will the results be finalised?

A16 : The results will be out in 3-7 days after the race. For any complaints, please email the event organiser with full details of the complaint and attached all necessary proof and supporting document(s) and pay RM300 complain fee. Investigation will be done in 10 working days and all result after that will be final. 

 

Q17 : When will I receive the prize if I am a winner?

A17 : For any cash prizes, winners will receive the rewards within 10 working days (via bank transfer). 

 

Q18 : What do I do if I entered the wrong information during registration?
A18 : Please email us at [email protected] with the changes you want to make. We will get back to you as soon as possible within 3 working days, our business hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm (excluding Public Holidays).
