Event Categories

1. All students who are registered and attend full-time courses at Diploma and Degree level offered at IPTA, IPTS and Polytechnics are eligible to participate in this tournament.
2. All students who are registered (courses of 3 months and more) and attend a full-time certificate-level course at Community College are also eligible to participate in this tournament.
3. All students who are registered and attending full-time courses at postgraduate level are eligible to participate provided they get confirmation from the Postgraduate Department of their respective University.
4. A player can only be registered for one team to represent the institution where he is registered as a student.
5. Exchange students (EXCHANGE STUDENT) are absolutely not allowed to participate in this tournament.

Tournament Rules

1. This tournament will be contested according to the Rules and Laws of the International Badminton Federation (BWF) and the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).
2. This tournament is also subject to the Laws and Regulations set by the Management and Technical Committee of ASICS University Badminton Championship 2023.
3. All decisions made by the Management and Technical Committee and Competition of ASICS University Badminton Championship 2023 are final.

All IPTs under the Ministry of Higher Education are eligible to participate in the 'ASICS University Badminton Championship 2023'

This tournament is open to students who are registered and attend full-time courses at IPTA and IPTS, POLYTECHNICS, as well as all students who are registered (courses of 3 months and more) and attend full-time certificate-level courses at COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

Game Format

21 points system, best of 3 sets

*The official Rules and Regulations by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) will be applied for this tournament.

Q1 : Who is eligible to participate in this event?
A1 : This event is open to all local and private universities, politechnics and community colleges in Malaysia. Exchange students are not allowed to participate in this tournament.
