TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before confirming your registration and making payment. By completing your registration as a Participant in the Event, you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions laid out below. 

General:

1. Closing date: 15 October 2023, Sunday, 11.59pm, organizer will not entertain any late submission.
2. Limited to 64 participants per category, with a first come first serve basis.
3. Current and former national badminton players are NOT allowed to participate in the tournament.
4. All minors participating in the event are understood to have parents' consent beforehand.
5. All age calculations are based on the birth year. (E.g. 2023-2010=13 years old)
6. All players must report to the registration desk on the day of the tournament at least 30 minutes before the players’ scheduled first game. Original IC is compulsory for verification purpose, failing to do so will automatically disqualified without any fees refund.
7. Prize presentation will be held after the finals at the tournament venue.

Format of Play:

1. The tournament will be run on a Knockout system.
2. Point scoring system for the preliminary rounds will be 30 points with no deuce (best of 1). Standard BWF 21x3 format only applies from semi-final onwards.
3. Umpire decision is final and will not be entertained. Umpires and referees have the authority to disqualify any players who violate the tournament rules.
4. Players who fail to report to the court within 5 minutes of their scheduled time will be announced as walk-over.

Withdrawal & Substitution:

1. No substitution will be entertained once the draw is ready.

Disclaimer:

1. The Organizer reserves the right to amend/ change/ add/ delete the terms and conditions and prize without prior notice.
2. While reasonable precautions will be taken, the organizer, its staff shall not hold any responsibility/ liable for any loss of personal belongings, injuries, medical expenses incurred during and after the tournament.
3. The organizer has the right to disqualify any players if they do not adhere to the terms and conditions/ rules and regulations set forth.
4. If the players are found to break the rules, terms and conditions, the organizer is entitled to disqualify the players from their
5. participation with no refunds being provided.
